The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Education and Training
Introduction
It is the policy of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to require all trainees entering the institution to receive vaccines for preventable diseases as specified by MD Anderson and based on the level of exposure and risk they present to patients.
Immunization Requirements
Varicella (Chicken Pox)
There must be documentation of one of the following:

2 vaccinations

Positive antibody titer (lab reports required)

Medical documentation of history of chicken pox
PPD TB Skin Test or IGRA TB Blood Test (QuantiFERON TB Gold or T-Spot)
There must be documentation of one of the following:

Negative PPD skin test administered within past 6 months

Test must be read 48–72 hours after placement

Must include both placed and read dates

Negative IGRA Blood Test within 6 past months

If testing is positive, all of the following are required:

Positive PPD skin test or Positive IGRA Blood Test

Negative chest X-ray dated on or after the positive PPD skin test result or positive IGRA Blood Test (lab reports required)
For titers, a lab report is required, or documentation must be signed or stamped by a physician to be acceptable.
For international student immunizations, titers, and chest X-rays: Applicants must submit the original foreign language document and the translated document. The translated document must be signed or stamped by a physician to be acceptable.
